How the reviews section works
The reviews section on the website can show reviews from either Trustpilot or Google. In both cases, the website collects the reviews automatically, saves them, and then displays them in a slider.
The slider
The slider shows 3 reviews at a time and loops continuously. When it reaches the last review, it starts again from the first, so the same reviews repeat as it keeps moving. If there are only a few reviews available, you’ll see them come around again more often. For example, with only 1 review, that same review would fill the slider and keep repeating.
Trustpilot
- Google works differently: it only ever shares a maximum of 5 reviews.
- Google decides which 5 reviews to share, usually the ones it considers most relevant. They are not necessarily the newest, and we have no control over which ones are chosen.
- The slider shows the reviews Google provides, so you’ll see up to 5 reviews repeating.
- The overall rating and total number of reviews shown next to the slider come directly from Google and reflect all of your reviews, not just the 5 displayed.
In short:
with Trustpilot, the slider shows the latest reviews, and we can choose how many. With Google, the slider shows up to 5 reviews that Google selects, and that’s a limit set by Google rather than by the website.
