What this module does

The Cost Calculator shows visitors how much money they can save in several areas by a Culligan water softener. A slider lets them adjust the variables of multiple independent rows (sections), and all values update in real time. The number of rows is not fixed and can be adjusted according to the specific use case.

Each row contains:

• A configurable slider input
• Custom text labels and icons
• Adjustable default and maximum values
• An individual calculation coefficient

Configurable parameters

The module can be customized without modifying calculation logic:

• Number of calculator rows
• Text content and descriptions
• Icons
• Maximum and default slider value for each row
• Individual coefficient for each row

How calculations work

Each slider allows users to select a numerical value. The selected value is processed using the following calculation logic:

1. The selected slider value is multiplied by a predefined coefficient assigned to that row
2. The result is rounded to the nearest whole number
3. The rounded value is multiplied by a fixed factor of 12 (representing monthly-to-yearly conversion)

Formula:

Annual result = Round(slider value × coefficient) × 12

Result display

For each row, the calculated value is displayed individually in the results section.

The module also generates cumulative values:

• Total value – sum of all row results
• 10-year projection – total value multiplied by 10

Formula:

10-year projection = Total result × 10
